• All the Pages are showing the content entered but no header/footer/sidebars. This started around the last major update time. At the bottom of the page there is a line, “The site is experiencing technical difficulties”. This is only on Pages. The posts and front magazine work fine.

There is an id=”error-page” and no idea where this is from.
All plugins/themes/WP are up to date.

    Any ideas where to look?

    Hi there!

It sounds like there was an update made to either a plugin or a theme recently, correct?

Several updates over the past month. I have disabled plugins 1×1, but I have not yet shut the site down to do a full wp-plugins-old work up.
Does WP create a page id=error-page?
If I could find that maybe I could track it down.

WordPress by default does not create a page id=error-page only because WordPress creates CSS classes which can be used by plugins and themes; many of those can be found here: https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/browser/tags/5.2.1/src/wp-includes/post-template.php#L615

Have you tried using a different theme to rule out the theme yet?

I will have to do that soon, fortunately there aren’t that many pages..and it’s a busy busy local news/information site. I hope to set a time soon that I can go into maintenance mode and run these tests.
I did not think that error id was coming from WP.. so that helps.
What ever it is, I cannot create new pages that look correct either.

Anyone find an answer? I think that this id=”error-page” is coming from Tools > Site Health. So it is from WordPress and not a plugin, correct? How do we turn this off? For an older site that has not been fully updated, it causes major issues.

Did anyone come up with a solution to this? We’re having the same issue and have already spent a couple of days attempting to solve it.

+1, we are experiencing the same with a website of ours (posts being display with the “error-page” body-id and error-page layout)
