I have pages set up in the theme “Elements of SEO 1.2”. Then I swapped to the theme “Atahualpa”, and tried to edit the pages. The pages are listed on the “Pages page” and are also available on teh site (in both themes).

HOWEVER no matter which page I choose, when I try to edit them the page “edit screen” only shows the “edit screen” and the menu options to publish the page, but all the fields to edit the content of the page are blank and missing.

If I swap the themes back, then the pages are available for edit as normal

    I am confused and frustrated.
    Can someone please help me.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks esmi but I discovered it is not a plugin problem.

It requires a change to the .htaccess file to add the line

    “AddType x-mapp-php5 .php” (no quotes

    which fixes this problem
