On more than one occasion I see an entry in the pages not found list that points to an existing page, specifically to:
    https://www.keptlight.com/about/

I click on the “not found page link” and it opens with no problem in a new tab.

I also see many attempts to login through various means which also yield “page not found”. Although this is good, the link I see should have worked. Should I try to block the source IPs? Does that put extra effort on the site potentially slowing it down.?

These are curiosity questions more than problems, at least for the time being. But, knowing the answer will help me better understand the workings of WordFence.

    Thanks,

    Cemal

    Hi Cemal,

I’m not sure why you’re seeing that, but I’ll investigate on my end. Blocking many IPs won’t slow your server down until you’ve blocked more than around 1000 IP addresses. However the next release of Wordfence will have a big performance improvement and will solve that issue.

    Mark.

Thanks Mark. I have turned off logging, so currently I do not have any Live view or Pages not found. But I will be happy to turn it on and provide more information if you like.

Is it advisable to block suspicious IPs?

    Cemal
