Pages not found with links

  • Every time I grab the short link to place on my social media to link to a post it says the page is not found. Then I tried to just use the actual link to my most recent post and it did the same thing. You can view the post on my page though so I don’t know what’s going on. Any ideas how to fix this?

    Did you get that off of one of my social media sites, like Facebook or Twitter?

    This was a Facebook link but not the post itself. For me the ones that work
    the name of your blog is in the lower left corner. On the one’s that don’t it is a short link.

    Are you getting the short link from the post editor?

    You can also try turning off all plugins and switch to the twentyfifteen theme to see if it starts working. That would rule out plugin and theme problems.

    I’m using the short links provided by WordPress. I figured that was the best way to go. I posted on the other forum, I will try to deactivate all my plugins but how will I know which one is the bad one? Do I need to put my site in maintenance mode to achieve this?

    No maintenance mode please.

    If deactivating the plugin work ( you can deactiate all by just changing the name of the plugins folder to plugins-old) then you reactivate one at a time until you find the problem plugin.
