I have my sidebar with Categories, Title 1, Links, Title 2, Title 3. Categories show up. Title 1 and Title 3 show up. Title 2 is broken.

I added a page and it shows. I created 5 more pages and they show in my admin as

    TITLE 2
    — Page A
    — Page B
    — Page C
    — Page D
    — Page F
    — Page G

BUT on my website, only Page C shows up. Parent on each page is the same.

WHY won’t they show on my website?

    Shows:
    Status: Published
    Visibility: Public
    Revisions: 8
    Published on: Nov 7, 2013 @ 16:26

    NOT showing:
    Status: Published
    Visibility: Public
    Revisions: 8
    Published on: Dec 13, 2013 @ 16:13

Yet it states it was PUBLISHED today. Where is it hiding? I have gone over every setting but feel I’m missing something. Error logs are clean.

  • Hi, can you please share your blog’s url and the url of the page you published specifically?

In the sidebar, how are these pages being included? Are they a widget? Are the part of a menu? If you wanted to check, go to “Appearance” in the dashboard. Click “Menus.” What menus do you have there? Does the one being reported on your sidebar correspond to any of these menus? If so, try just adding the page to that menu and seeing if that takes care of it.

I suspect you’re using a sidebar menu widget…. if that is the case, you just need to add those additional pages to the menu that is being shown on your webpage and everything will work perfectly.

Please confirm or follow up here if that does not fix it.

I am extremely confused. Five years ago I had 50+ WP sites but the sidebat was a txt page which I could easily edit. I’ve lost memory so can’t code it nor find anyone to do it ((reasonably).

I see the sidebar under Widgets. Shows under Menus is Animal. So I go to Menus and see Animal on the right. But on the left I see all my pages. I can’t drag them from the left as it just a list of how the sidebar SHOULD be.

How do I get the list of Pages to appear on the bottom left to drag over? I assume that is what I need to do??

I don’t publicly post my links but the issue is in the admin area anyway.

Thanks but I don’t do YouTube. I “think” I figured it out. Check off, click Add to Menu, edit order. They are appearing on the home page. I still have other sections to add/edit but it’s a start.

I just found i easier to have sidebar.txt but the code to call it eludes me. I asked around but so far nothing. I’ll ask again eventually. Coding the sidebar sections with lines and colors was lost and with no memory retention will be difficult. Oh, I do type out info but forget that, and, well, I forget where I put the documents. I’d need a roadmap of reminders to find things! Most important stuff is in a pocket notebook but some things escaped ??
