Pages order by last name (page names are people)

  • My pages are titled with people’s names.

    How can I get them to order in the sidebar based on last name?

    I’m very new to php, and wordpress, so be kind.

  • You could use the Sort by “Page order” option in the pages widget to get the items into the right order. However you’d need to change the Order Attribute of every page – either manually or with the help of some kind of plugin.

    I have a plugin for reordering pages, but I did not know about the Page Order option you suggested. That did the trick.

    Lots to learn for this newbie!
