    Hello folks,

If there is any development still going on with this theme, I have a suggestion to make regarding the Edit – Quick Edit of a page.
One (like myself) would think that the quick-edit version contains a few basic things to edit regarding a page, while the Edit option contains ALL POSSIBLE options regarding the edit of a page, including those in quick-edit.
This is not so: the Quick Edit has options that do not show up in the Edit part.
This did cause a fair amount of frustration for me (I am a beginner at WP).
My suggestion would be to make the Quick Edit options a subset of the Edit options.

    Cheers:

    UB

I don’t think any new features are being added to the theme; only security updates.

Also, all of the Quick Edit options are available in the Edit screen. You may need to go to Screen Options at the top right of the screen and check the Discussion box if you want to enable/disable commenting and trackbacks. Are there any other options that you don’t see in the Edit screen?

    Hi UBoMW,

They do updates for TwentyTen so plugins won’t break your site, but there is no further functionality being added to previous default WP themes. I would suggest moving to a newer WP theme like TwentyTwelve.

let me know if you need help or have more questions.

    Hello folks,

    Thanks for the replies….
Kevin is right: the “Screen options” does give you all the options, making the Quick Edit a subset.
I stand corrected — however, it might be a good idea to have those options on by default when the thing is installed.
I did look at the other WordPress themes but this came up to be the most convenient initially. I can look harder. Thanks for the suggestion.

Little bit off-topic: I saw a twenty-thirteen theme being developed, but it is not downloadable — what’s up with it?

    Thanks:

All of the core themes are located here:

    https://core.svn.www.ads-software.com/trunk/wp-content/themes/

But, as a word of caution, use these at your own risk because there’s no guarantee that they are stable versions. Twenty Thirteen, along with 3.6, should be officially released any day now.

Thanks for the answers folks, I can mark this thread as closed.

The single (but I don’t think negligible) suggestion is to have all the options visible on the “Edit page” (and post, I guess) part at installation.
This would save (in turn, a lot of) frustration for beginners. Having all the options there for a beginner shows all that can be done with a page/post and with (little) experience he/she can learn to hide options not used, while NOT having all the options there initially easily leads to (a lot of) frustration. Vastly different user experience.

    It’s that simple.
