Pages showing up in sidebar after them update yesterday

my problem is that my “page” links show up in the sidebar area after the last update of the theme yesterday. And, it lists them in a hierarchial fashion based on assignment of a “parent” page. And, I am not using a page widget.

in addition, if you choose to use a nimbus sidebar, the category sidebar takes on the number one position. in other words, there is no option to choose another widget to show up first or at the top, above the category sidebar.

in addition, the automatic category sidebar appears on many pages but not all pages. it seems to show up on pages that have been assigned a parent for the most part but in one instance, it does not show up on a page that has been assigned a parent????
