Pages to public or private

tWhat I want is that by default the pages I create are public and then I can change them to private if I am interested or not.

Perhaps it would be easier to configure Authorizer to allow everyone to see the site, and then use the built in “Private” post status in WordPress to protect specific content?

Otherwise the only way to override the default behavior (pages are private, with a specific list of public pages) is to hook into authorizer_has_access and add your logic for which pages are public/private: https://github.com/uhm-coe/authorizer/blob/master/src/authorizer/class-authorization.php#L528-L546
