Pages which were in Trash have vanished

Hello,

I had 2 / 3 pages which were in Trash which are no longer there or anywhere else.

They were trashed ( stupidly placed in this folder to save for later rather than making unpublished / private)about a year ago.

Is there an expiration time for pages in Trash?

Or have they been deleted / put somewhere else by updated versions of wordpess ?

Appreciate any help on how I can retrieve these pages.
