PageView is non fired on first visit

  • Since March, I have had a CookieYes plugin on my site that manages cookies. Among other things, Meta cookies and PixelYourSite cookies. Unfortunately, the first entry to the site does not trigger the PageView event, even though the Meta Pixel is installed. The same thing happens when PixelYourSite and CookieBot work together.

    What could be the cause? Could the order in which Meta Pixel is run make a difference? How do I set this up with the PixelYourSite plugin? For data collection, I use the Key Meta API

    Consent plugins are suppose to block tracking until the user agrees to it, so it’s quite normal for the first interaction not to trigger any events. Events should start working once consent is express by the user. Depending on how the consent plugins work, a page refresh might be necessary. This is usually configurable inside the plugin itself.

    It’s a good idea to ask similar questions directly to the consent plugin’ support.
