Paginate within the post is not working

  • I am trying to add pagination on my single post. I have added <!–nextpage–> and modify the function “wp_link_pages” in the post-template.php according to my need to display newer and older posts instead of numbers and get success in Twenty Twelve theme, but when I copy and paste the same function in my Desk Mess Mirrored theme, it is not working. Can you help me what is the issue behind this ?

  • Please Reply this…even I am having the same problem for quite a long time. This is not supporting the feature, maybe there is some restriction which I cudnt see in the theme.

    Please suggest.

    All – Apologies for the late reply but I have never seen an issue with:

    <!--nextpage-->

    when it is used with Desk Mess Mirrored, however I cannot speak to what might happen if you modify core WordPress files to attempt to alter its functionality.
