paginated page layout

I dont know if this is possible, but i am looking for this a couple of days now.
What i want to do is this, i have a category where i use a script to style my first post different then the rest, and then 4 “normal” posts.
So the latest item will really stand out.
But because the page is paginated, on the follow-up pages it uses that same first item script again. So item 6 (not so important anymore

So what i want to know is, is it possible to create a different layout for the follow-up pages?
