    Hi folks,

i’ve got a weird problem. My posts are paginated and that worked a while. Now the <!–nextpage–> tag suddenly gets ignored. My post is on one large page. BUT i see the page navigation at the end of the page with the correct count of pages the post SHOULD have.

The weird thing is no matter which page number i type into the domain, e.g. https://www.domain.com/article-name/2014/2/ or https://www.domain.com/article-name/2014/2232131323/ wordpress shows the post on one page, no page not found error.

I know thats a weird error. But does anyone have just a little clou where i should look for this bug?

    Thanks in advanced

    Best regards

what theme are you working with?

what happens if you temporarily switch to the default theme Twenty Fourteen?

temporarily try to deactivate all plugins to see if that solves the problem.

I’m working with a highly modified theme and a custom post. The weird thing is on my local mashine everything is okay.
I’ve once had this problem and loaded a database dumb from my local mashine to the web server and the articles are paginated.
But now the <!–nextpage–> is ignored again.

I’ve got the same plugins on my local mashine as on the web server.

I just wonder why i can put any number in my url and wordpress shows the post instead of a “page not found” exception.
