Pagination in shortcode

Is it possible to set the pagination in the shortcode? So for instance, I have 4 posts showing on the homepage of my site with a “view more” link that goes to a page which displays many more. On that second page can I control, turn on/off pagination, with something like pagination=”yes” in the shortcode or is it only available through the admin settings as an overall setting?
