Pagination missing in archive.php

When you have a bloglist with more then 10 posts per page (Sitepage is set to show maximum 10), I would expect some sort of pagination at the bottom, but it is not there (seems to be missing in the archive.php). So the rest of the blogposts is unreacheable for the website visitor.

I checked several sites, with different themes (WP Twenty Fourteen, Trias, etc…)
for example https://test.carerix.com/publictest/category/blogpost/ (website has 11 blogposts in the category blogpost).

How can this pagination feature be missing in all these highly recommended themes? is this a choice or is it a bug?
