    Hi there,

    For some reason, when I click on the pagination at the bottom of my site (for example, 2 or 3), I get a message saying Error 404 – Not Found. Here is the link to the problem I’m referring to: https://livontheveg.com/page/2/

    I’m not sure if this is relevant, but on Friday I migrated my content from WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com

    Many thanks,
    Olivia

    Hey Olivia,

    This sort of thing happens sometimes after site migrations, or even after switching themes. To fix it, visit the Permalinks Settings page, scroll to the bottom, and re-save your existing settings.

    This causes WordPress to rewrite the .htaccess file, and usually fixes the odd 404 error like this.

    Yea no problem!

    If you’re happy with Apex, would you mind doing me a favor and taking a minute to add a review?

    Hi Ben,

    Sure! I’d be happy to. I just have 2 more questions:

    1. Can I change the body text hyperlink color without changing the menu link colors?

    2. I have downloaded a Pinterest sharing button plugin but it’s not showing a Pin It button when I hover over the Featured Image. Is there a way to make the Featured Image pinnable?

    Thanks so much again!

    Sure, that can be done with the following CSS:

    .post-content a,
    .post-content a:link,
    .post-content a:visited {
      color: #43b3c4;
    }

    Could you share a link to the Pinterest plugin you’re using on your site?

    Thanks! The Pinterest plugin is called Pin It Pro:

    I believe that the way the Featured Images are coded in the theme, the plugin is not picking them up. If you’re on the paid version, it looks like there is a setting specifically for pre-selecting the featured images.

    Can you try this feature, or let me know if this is the feature not working already?

    Yes, that was the one. I reached out to the Pin Plugin support team and they said that it works using stock WordPress themes but that there may be theme conflicts.

    Okay I have an idea of what’s happening. I’ve just got in touch with them to see if we can work out a solution.

    I will post here with what we come up with.

    To get the Pinterest button to work with the Featured Images, you can use the “Pin It” Button Settings below the post editor: https://pics.competethemes.com/image/0h1k2n0n1G3V

    If you add the URL for the Featured Image there, the Post will then use that image for pinning.

    Hi Ben,

    That did not work when I tried it. I used the settings you referred to but I still can’t pin the featured image, though I can pin the other images.

    Okay it looks like that feature won’t add a pin it button to the featured image, but rather it will use that image when the page is pinned on Pinterest.

    I’m afraid I can’t do anything to make this work on my end. It’s something that will need to be added in the plugin.

    That’s okay. I now see that I can pin the featured image using the Chrome Pinterest Button. Thanks for all of your help!
