    Hi,

    I think you are trying with the custom method instead of Auto? Please choose auto and no need to use shortcode because free version of this plugin works without shortcode. Shortcode is provided for those users which implement WP_Query or other custom queries to get the results. You can find a video tutorial on YouTube or you can have a look here too.
