With 5.0.1 we have the problem that on a category page with more than five events the pagination seems to be broken.

Selecting the Next-Page-Link adds the date filter tribe-bar-date with the current date to it. This will result in an empty page (as there are not events on the current date).

The link looks to be fine in html. The additional parameter seem to get added by javascript.

    Thanks for your support. Poti

    Hi @potibm,

Thanks for reaching out to us, I am sorry that this functionality was broken in your website.

Would you mind doing a couple of things so I can take a deeper look into the problem and possibly find a fix for it?

Our new system uses JavaScript to handle navigation, but the URL comes from the PHP so WordPress rewrite rules are respected in the process.

First, would you mind refreshing your permalinks?

If that didn’t fix, would you mind getting a screenshot of your Browser JavaScript Console log for me?

And last can you follow the steps here?

I know these are very time-consuming tasks, but it would help us nail where the problem is coming from.

    My best Regards,

I’ve got the same sort of issues going on, just happened when updating to the 5.0.0.1, the latest update, crap and of course not a good time to lose all my event pagination. I’ve got a suggestion why not put in a rollback option on this plugin. Like Elementor’s Premium Add Ons. I’ve used this plugin on multiple site both paid and free and it is seriously buggy. Each update I have to just hope I’ll get lucky. It was a good solution in the past but now I’m not sure, might be easier to just use Advanced Custom fields.

Woot, Woot, figured it out see this https://theeventscalendar.com/known-issues/ apparently we all need to uncheck use new styles in the “display” tab — it wipes everything out when it’s checked

    Hi @lisadeparts,

I am sorry to hear that your customizations broke on version 5.0, it is a major release for us on The Events Calendar, our expectation to not maintain backward compatibility to allow our development team to create a much better set of views for customers.

We understand that this causes a lot of things to possibly break for existing customers, that is specifically why we put a huge amount of effort into making sure both versions can co-exist, so our existing customers can choose when to upgrade to the new design.

As with most feature releases, some bugs slipped our team’s Quality Assurance layers, but I can assure you all of our team is working really hard to make sure that all of the reported bugs are fixed.

    best Regards,
