When clicking on page 2 of the pagination, the search results are not remembered.

To replicate the issue, set-up a simple search to search just Fullname.

Step 1: search for a name which is popular so you will have more than one page of search results returned. You will see something like “showing 1 – 10 of 65 members”

Step 2: click on page 2 of the pagination

You will see that all site members are now part of the pagination and not just members that match the search criteria. EG you will see something like “showing 11 – 20 of 72652 members”

I am using WP 3.5.1, BP 1.7.2 and BP Profile Search 3.3 – fresh install and completely uncustomised.

    Hi Henry,

May I have a look at your test site? I need a WP admin and an FTP access, my email is [email protected]

    Thank you!

    Hi damienoneill2001,

Yes, Andrea kindly pointed out my BuddyPress child theme wasn’t set up properly

Also whilst trying to resolve i found the search uses ajax pagination which relies heavily on the page HTML in order to work properly. If you start removing or modifying elements in members-loop.php then you’ll come across problems.

If your pagination or search is broken after you’ve customised your theme, then i suggest you start with everything as it comes out of the box, gradually add in your customisations, testing to ensure everything works as you go along. Bit of a laborious process but a ‘must-do’ as ajax/javascript is involved.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks Henry!

You have definitely given me some things to look into, in particular, the members-loop.php as this is something that I have actually changed.

If I spot what specifically causes the issue, I will post back!

    Damien
