• Good afternoon from Belgium,
Hi folks, I have a question:
As a photographer I have a wide catalog of photos. There are many examples of this on my website.
Only, I also have quite a few pictures that are more explicit, and somehow I don’t want to give just anyone access to them, especially a minor!

Mind you, it’s not porn but rather glamor and fine art.

Now I would like that, if the visitor clicks eg on one of the thumbnail photos, he or she will end up on a page where an access code is requested, and where, if this visitor does not have an access code, he will find some kind of form where an access code can be obtained, whether or not for a fee.
Or they have to end up on a page where one can pay to get direct access…
I really don’t know how to do that, but somehow I think woocommerce can provide a solution for that?

    Hi @johnyw!

I’m not sure if I fully understand the process you provide. But basically, if a visitor want to access specific content, it’s required a registration and/or a code, is that right?

The first solution I can think is to sell your photos as digital products. Get to know how WooCommerce handles Digital products here

Using some extension, you can also make your store or some products private, like Private Store & Website

It’s not quite like you described, but I would suggest you to consider a membership site.
With WooCommerce Memberships extension, you have maximum control of what content is restricted in your site.

    I hope this information helps.

    Hi @johnyw,

This topic has been inactive for a while, so I’m marking it as “resolved”.

I’m guessing the info we shared earlier was helpful.

    No, this is NOT solved!
It is not a question of selling images, but rather that visitors should be able to demand for access to a page. So there must be some kind of form where they could give their credentials and send that to me so I can reply by giving them a password. Even safer is that they should pay to , after payment, automatically be forwarded to the content(a page).
I seen this on numerous sites, but I cannot figure out how this is doe ??
    Any suggestions ?
    Thx
    Johny

    Thanks for getting back @johnyw!

I understand that you’re looking for a way to restrict some of your pages before a user can register or view the images.

However, the core WooCommerce plugin does not come with an option where you can restrict users from some content. You can get such functionality from a plugin or through custom coding.

We have the Paywall for the WooCommerce extension that can help with this goal – check to see if it is something you can consider and create a presales ticket with us if you have any questions about it.
