    On my site i want users to have to pay a subscription fee before they can access the site. I also want to be be able to validate each user once payment has gone though so effectively not taking the money till they are approved.
    Is there a plugin for this ?

    Atm when users enter details they are taken to a page which has a paypal button. Thus meaning users have a account without having paid

    ps i have paid membership installed with my theme

  • s2member is about the best membership plug in I’ve used.
    I’d test the waters first though and make sure you’re getting enough traffic to justify paid subscriptions. Very few sites do.

    Hi thanks for the response.
    My question was more around the lines of which plugin allows you to let members have to pay before they are able to view content also once they have paid for the account not to be activated until admin has manually done so. Does S2 have this function ?

    Well, yes, that’s why I suggested it. It’s a very flexible (and quite complex) plug in.

    i have done that but the problem now is that users are sent an activation email before they have paid …

    s2member allows you to restrict access to certain areas of your site and configure conditions (like payment etc) that have to be met before access is granted. If you set it up right, there is (almost) no way anyone can see the restricted content until they’ve paid.

    Thank you i managed to accomplish this.
    But now i have a major problem i accidentally changed admin (myself) to a s2 level 2 member so now i cannot access my dashboard please help ! if you can
