Paid Membership Pro Directory Free v Paid

    I am trying to work out how to restrict the amount of information for a Free submission to a directory as otherwise there is no point in paying for a Paid submission. I wanted to have a smaller business description with a restriction on the media file uploads for the free accounts. Although there are different ‘membership levels’ visible, I only see restrictions to pages and post, after registration.

    Hi there, thank you for reaching out to Paid Memberships Pro.

    Showing/hiding user fields based on the membership level a user holds are controlled within our User Fields settings found under Memberships > Settings > User Fields.

    In terms of access based on public submissions, this is likely handled by a third-party integration and would depend on that integration’s functionality as to how it handles different fields based on a membership level.

    Thank you for your reply. The User Fields option looks great to add extra fields but I can’t see how you can hide fields using this function. Do you know where I could find this out?

    You can create a group that only shows on specific levels.
    Set Restrict Fields for Membership Levels, to show for the level you want them to appear on.
