• You can’t use this to restore. It does a backup to a .wpress file – but you have to pay for the restore function. Also doesn’t allow migration upload without… you guessed it the pro paid version.

EDIT – correction.. it will restore from the same domain – if you “download” and then upload “from same domain” If you want to migrate from a different domain they are making you pay for the migration option. They removed this function after v6.77 of the plugin.

Actually, you are wrong in the original review and in the edited part. Please try the plugin first, read the instructions and then come back and leave a review.

To restore a backup, you first need to download it and then import it.
Uploading a file depends on your hosting provider. Some allows large uploads others set these limits lowers. There is a guide that you can follow to adjust these limits, there are also plugins who lets you adjust this, finally there is also a premium addon that can be used.

I haven’t encountered that limitation at all. I have been moving things up and down from local domains to live domains on the free version with no issues.

I bumped into the limit but then added a free plugin (file extension) and it worked perfectly – moved a website to a new domain in minutes.

@yaniiliev I didn’t have an issue with uploading a 100mb file. In fact it allowed the upload but would never restore the file – perhaps it’s a bug then.

It wasn’t until I went back a few revisions that it would accept the file upload and restore from the upload. Same exact file, only thing changed was going to an older plugin version.

Side note – – You should zip your .wpress files regardless of my previous issue.

I’d be happy to test again and change my rating – but the error was little help to me on this version.
