Painful

I first started using Rockettheme products in 2011 and was a club member for several years. At that point they were quite good, but the rest of the world seems to have moved on in terms of stability and compatibility.

Unfortunately I still have to maintain around 30 websites which use Gantry and other Rockettheme software. I have wasted a terrifying amount of time on trying to work around bugs and broken websites after updates.

I’m not sure what possessed me to give Gantry 5 a try on a relatively recent website. It was a terrible mistake. I won’t waste yet more of my time detailing the issues I have had, just to say that currently I am simply trying to get my menu items to line up in the order they are arranged in the default WordPress menu editor. Gantry adds an extra layer of complexity with its own menu editor, which has a mind of its own and often fails to save anything, or just jumbles up my menu items for no discernible reason.
