Hi. Could you explain the difference to me? Which version should I use?

I have Neve theme that is known to work well in standard mode. So i choose standard mode and everything looks fine and work well for some time. But this is what confusing me (please check link)

    https://docs.themeisle.com/article/1078-amp-support-in-neve

There I see option to Remove Neve’s paired mode by adding piece of code in child theme’s functions.php file

Should I do that? Will I benefit from that? Will Google index only the amp version of the site? Will there be any differences in page load speed for desktop visitors? Does the native amp have any impact on the desktop version of the site at all?

I use this plugins: classic editor, yoast, litespeed cache, and site kit by google (I do not know is this information is important)

    Hello @oblanda004,

Yes, the Neve theme is fully AMP compatible and you can use it in standard or transitional mode, whatever mode you prefer. You can refer to the Never support team in relation to applying the neve_filter_amp_support filter.

Standard mode will make your site AMP-first, making both desktop and mobile pages load faster and you will see performance improvements and pagespeed rank improvement. The difference between Standard and Transitional mode is, Standard mode will convert entire website pages to AMP pages, whereas in Transitional mode we get AMP pages on different URLs (/postname/?amp).

Google will continue to index all the site pages even if you use standard mode, however the valid AMP pages will go into the Google AMP Cache (Google’s CDN to load pages instantly for mobile users).

The plugins you are using should not cause any issues as they are known to work well with AMP, if you are planning to use more plugins make sure they are AMP compatible and not showing any validation errors in the backend.

Thanks for answer but I still do not know difference between paired and native version in standard mode. On the internet I just find one article on this topic. So I need to know differences between this paired and native in standard mode. What is better? What to choose paired standard mode or native standard mode? and why?

    Sorry for the confusion

    • The Standard mode is formerly known as a native mode.
    • The Transitional mode is formerly known as a paired mode.
    • Thre Reader mode is formerly known as a classic mode.

The above description explains the difference between both modes.
you can read more in docs
