MASSIVE PANIC!! What has happened? I went to log in to the admin of site (currently in a sub HERE and now when I enter the password this comes up!! I cannot get in!!

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /X2Y/wp-login.php could not be found on this server. Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request

Help? What’s happened and how can I reset this?

    Don’t panic Mr Mannering…

  • You can reset the password from the DB itself.

Not a big problem so do not panic.

    Thanks

That only appears after you click the login button, correct?

Contact your host. This issue has appeared before. In the meantime try going directly to the login page.

Thats the page that as soon as I put in my details, the error message comes up.

Just a thought, I installed Members plug in to try something that didn’t work. The last thing I did was de-activate it. Could this be it? I can’t access the Editor page either

    Panic ??

Right, but did you try logging in again, from previous posts it seemed to be a problem when having a url in the url.

The editor page is inside the wordpress admin area, are you able to access other pages in the wordpress admin area.

No.Both editor or admin login is leading me to this-

Is it worth me changing the password in the DB? I’ve got instructions in front of me although they are not written in very good english!!

Thanks for your help. I really am panicking currently

Oh, you mean an editor account. I see. Did you try logging in at the direct url above?

    Thread Starter Andy Woggle

    (@andy-woggle)

Yes.Both lead to 404 (or whatever error report that is!!)

    Contact your host.

enable errors and check what certain error do you have.

Host has nothing to do with it

Yep, looks like it’s my hosting after all. Just tried accessing mine that’s not in a sub and thats doing the same thing.

Thanks for your help. I’ll mark this as resolved when I’ve got it sorted.

Joy. My host is not responding. This is more than worrying. I cannot access ANY of my install’s back-ends.

    Really quite stressed
