Following up here in case this issue is happening for anyone else… I’ve been working directly with @kiwimotif to troubleshoot the problem, and although we were not able to definitively solve it —?I could not replicate the issue on my end, and none of my expected solutions worked on their end, even after testing thoroughly for theme/plugin conflicts —?we did find a workaround.

If you find that some parameters are getting ignored, try putting the url parameter last in your shortcode. For example:

[ics_calendar title="My title" legendposition="below" url="https://example.com/calendar.ics"]

Strange, but it seems to work!
