Parent category selectable – nested 2 level category tree

    Hello,

    I need a help on how to achieve the following. I have custom 2-level taxonomy (parent and child).

    I would like to be able to select multiple categories (parent and child) and see them in the selection box as a nested tree.

    Example:
    Parent Category (selectable)
    – Child Category 1 (selectable)
    – Child Category 2 (selectable)

    When using select outgroup filter shows categories in nested tree but the parent items are not selectable.

    That’s a good question. It is not possible with a dropdown currently, but can be achieved using checkbox field (same logic and allows for multiple select) or a radio field (for single value selections).

    In v5 this will be improved to add a new JavaScript plugin I am working on which allows to build Hybrid dropdown fields,
