• My website uses a child theme.
I need to update the Yootheme version of my parent theme but the API Key must be activated.

Do parent and child themes share the same API Key?

Unless you’ve explicitly done otherwise, everything is in the same namespace, so a parent theme’s data is available to the child. An external API cannot discern which code a supplied key came from, so it’s feasible to share the same key. That said, there could be some mechanism in your specific theme that would prevent sharing. You could simply try using the same key and see if it works or not. Or inquire through the theme’s dedicated support channel where its devs are in the best position to definitively answer your question.
