• Last question for a bit until I get to changing themes ??

I created 3 static pages (actually forgot how I did that – maybe no comments allowed and selected a different page for the blog?). I ordered them as 0,1,2. I “expected” that the bottom of 0 would have a “NEXT Page”, the bottom of 1 would have both next and previous, etc. But nothing shows up. As amtter of fact, no way to even get to 1 and 2 until I added them to the menu, and they show as the same level as page 0 there.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks.

  • Howdy Bob,

The “Next” and “Previous” you’re probably thinking about is shown on archive / category listing pages, or like on your home page if it is set to show (n) blog posts. “Next” and “Previous” are not a part of Page navigation — just Posts.

If you want a parent page to show child pages, one option is to check out something like Xavin’s List Child Pages plugin on www.ads-software.com.

As for menus, you have to drag the second level menus to the right just a bit (in Appearance > Menus) so they indent. That indent indicates different levels (sub, sub-sub, etc.) of menu.

    Does this make sense?

    Thanks Paul,

Fixed the menu level by adding a link with no target as the top level to the menu and now all nest as expected. So that is solved.

I do not want to list child pages, just have next and previous arrows and words at the bottom of each page in a parent/child relationship. But I will check out the plugin you recommend.

    Thanks again.
