Parent css overwrites child css responsiveness

This picture is taken at a screen width under 768px. The css in the style-responsive.css (#logo { float:none; position: static …….. } of the parent folder is overwriting my css in the style.css (#logo {float: left; }

Ah okay!
Well, let’s enqueue the style.css AFTER the responsive-stylesheet.
Can you edit the code from before, and change it to:

function theme_enqueue_styles()
{
    wp_enqueue_style( ‘responsive-style’, get_template_directory_uri() . ‘styles/style-responsive.css’ );
    wp_enqueue_style( ‘parent-style’, get_template_directory_uri() . ‘/style.css’ );
}

add_action('wp_enqueue_scripts', 'theme_enqueue_styles');

Hmm, I can’t see it’s enqueued AFTER the responsive stylesheet.
BUT! If I manually move the style.css and make it load AFTER the responsive stylesheet – it works great.

If you want, I can take a look in your backend.
It’s easier for me to see the code in your functions.php etc.
What do you think?

@kuckovic Yes Then it works but the problem is than that I load my style.css twice, that is not a good way.

@kuckovic ahh okay maybe tommorow then. I should run on my child theme. I have a folder minamaze-child and a style.css with the required tags at top. Why do you think I do not run on child theme?

Have you activated the child theme??
As far as I can see, you have the “Minamaze” theme activated.
That is the parent theme.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
