Parent page?

  • I have started to update my website/blog and have set a page called Pets, i have then set a page called Tropical Fish and set it’s parent page to the pets page. I was expecting to be able to click on the Pets page and then see a link to the Tropical fish page. is this how parent pages work or am i just getting this idea mixed up?

    No that isn’t how page hierarchy works. The only visual display of a parent/child relationship is when the pages links are presented with something like wp_list_pages.

    If you want to see the child pages when looking at a parent page, then you will need to code a Page template to present that.
