Parent page drop down is to long

Hello I am completely new to word-press. I am using a theme called tesseract. I am having an issue with a parent page. My issue is that I have 37 child pages that are under my parent page. The drop down menu is too long and making a blank space below my pages. I would like to eliminate the drop down menu from step by step guide and have it just link to a separate page with links on it. What is the best way to do this. My site is far from complete and still needs editing. Please advise. Thanks
