    Hi,
The recipes on this page all just link back to the same page, i.e. you click on a recipe and it just refreshes the page that you’re on. I managed to fix it temporarily by deleting the recipes, then finding the parent posts in the Tools section. That worked for a time but now it’s just reverted to linking back to the original post, as you can see here:

    (see last three recipes)

It’s driving me mad – any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

When you save a post/page it looks for any recipes inside and associates itself as being the parent of that recipe. The recipe shortcode/block should only get added to 1 post.

If you want to reference that recipe in another post/page, use the recipe roundup feature instead: https://help.bootstrapped.ventures/article/182-itemlist-metadata-for-recipe-roundup-posts

    Thanks for your reply.
I am actually using a roundup summary but one which came with the theme I’m using.

I tried editing the default roundup summary in the template maker but it didn’t seem to work. Any ideas why that might be?

Also, this page https://www.stiritup.org.uk/2020/11/12/working-lunches/, which used the same roundup summary from the theme, does work. Doesn’t seem to make sense!

    Any ideas?

It’s not about the template you use but the block/shortcode you’re adding.

There’s both a “Recipe” block and a “Recipe Roundup” block.

The recipe block should only exist in one place, which is inside the parent post. If you want to reference that recipe in different places, use the “Recipe Roundup” block.

Both of those can use any of the available templates.
