Parent/Submenu Function

Stunning and invaluable plugin. Is there a way to make this work: When a user clicks on the text link (menu title) of a Parent Menu, the sub menu expands? The idea here is to extend the functionality of the “carrot” that appears next to the parent menu text (menu title) to include the text (menu title) next to the carrot. Currently, when the parent menu text link is clicked, the mobile menu closes. The text link in question is a wordpress custom link with a “#” as the URL. It’s purpose is that of a Parent Menu Title, only. Thank you for your help and guidance.
