Parent Under The Page Attribute Panel In WordPress 4.2.2 Missing

Hi.
Parent under the Page Attribute panel of WordPress 4.2.2 missing. At first I thought because I am using Child Twenty-Fourteen theme instead of the parent might have been the cause it. But the problem persists even If I switch to the parent theme. No pages created just yet. Please help solve this issue.
