Have you tried temporarily switching to the Twenty Thirteen theme and deactivating all of your other plugins then try activating this plugin?
You kidding me? Plugin must work with any theme without any solution from me.
That’s a great idea – in theory and in an ideal world but there are simply too many badly written themes out there. There’s also the possibility of 2 or more plugins conflicting with one another. So in order to try and help determine the root of the issue, we always ask you to first see if you can replicate the problem using the current default theme and no other active plugins.
There is no magic bullet in these situations. This is just the start of basic troubleshooting and is a process of elimination deliberately designed to locate the root cause as quickly as possible by first removing the most obvious and common culprits via a series of (often) temporary steps.
Do you want to locate and, hopefully, fix the problem on your site? If “yes”, then please help us to help you and carry out the changes that we suggest.
Your theme & plugin settings are saved in your database and should be retained for future use.
K, I recently read this post, and I tryed to reproduce the bug, but I can’t.
Can you please give me your PHP version, what server software are you using (php over fastCGI with nginx, lighttp. Or apache?).
It looks like your server is not able to parse the script. This is pretty uncommon. Every server I tested parsed this script correctly.Could you enter your overall setup? Maybe I can reproduce it with this whole setup
Virtual Hardware: OVZ VDS Debian 32bit
1Gb RAM
1.5GB BurstSoftware:
Apache/2.2.16 (Debian)
FastCGI. Nginx at front.
PHP v5.4.19-1~dotdeb.0Before I try this plugin, all other cache plugins, such as W3 Total Cache, Super Cache, was disabled (not removed – only disabled).
Working caching plugins:
Widget cacheMore info, may be this info can help you.
Minify plugins (working together):
WP Mininfy (CSS/HTML)
Better WordPress Minify (JS)Executable PHP widget
Widget LogicTheme:
Free version of commercial responsive theme, but theme not constain any plugins from box.I think, may be this conflict between two plugins. But I not understand how, becouse Total Cache/Super Cache is disabled.
Sorry, but I cannot testing with another themes, with “turned off all plugins” and with a lof of debuging. This is not my way.
I hope, you can found solution. If you have more questions, please, ask.
Oh my dear… I had a fix in the trunk and didn’t pushed it to the version -.- I’m so stupid…
Ok, fix is released. Please report any new bugs, if anything will happen, please post it.
Please delete the WHOLE plugin folder, remove it completly, and download the new release (it has no new version number). Thanks for hinting to this realy stupid bug.
By the way: With brutal cache you don’t need Widget Cache, brutal cache will do all the job.
> With brutal cache you don’t need Widget Cache
Fantastic! Will check you new plugin soon. Thanks for your understanding.
Hi again.

You are so interesting^^
I have 2 test hosts, both without errors. Now I have a virtual machine for your setup and it doesn’t appear. But I guess, this is my fault, cause I didn’t get something or have some different configuration in the background.
However, this morning I pushed a new 0.6.3 up (I have to change my release policy I guess :-D) which contains a little optimization, which allowes to be more configuration resistant against the server. Please download this version (maybe it was especially this little fact), and try this version if you like. Remove the old folder COMPLETLY and upload the new one.
If this doesn’t work, could you please copy your brutal_cache_config.php completly to this thread?
This file doesn’t contain any private data and it will not affect your security.
I hope we’ll find this stupid errors and can get rid of them. Thanks for your support. On two different sites:

Yes, in a perfect magical world then all plugins work with every other plugin. The End. ??
But unless you are willing to take the time to reduce your installation to the bare minimum then all of these problem you are having will probably not get resolved.
No, it was my mistake… I used a ” instead of a ‘, and cause of that the file wasn’t written right. That is a mistake, that shouldn’t happen, but happend… So emberrising.
This time the plugin should work… Maybe I rewrite the plugin some day to improve everything. I guess it’s needed some kind of^^No, it was my mistake… I used a ” instead of a ‘
As mistakes goes that’s not too bad then. ??
Have you updated the release in the WordPress repo already? If you do don’t forget to bump the version number.
Look, guys. I no need to testing plugins, no need to debuging plugins, i no need to check plugins, I no need to help the author.
This is plugins is – cache plugin. I have an alternative, and I sure, you understand this.
I found this plugin (and remembmer it) and try for best perfomance and found an error.
I told you about this error and my mission is complete after bug report. I write to you “bugs!!”, give you 1 star and can go away.
But now I see – the author can communicate and playing a game with plugin and I can support him with this. Without communicate from author – I do nothing (total zero).
But I don’t want to change theme, and don’t want take off my php-widgets for testing this pluging.
I sure, you can understand this. I can help, but without descruct my website.
