After upgrading to 2.0 I now get a parse error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘, expecting ‘)’ in /var/www/vhosts/80/240872/webspace/httpdocs/cyclefolsom.com/wp-content/plugins/simple-staff-list/admin/class-simple-staff-list-admin.php on line 702

This error is all I get when loading any page on the site – admin or main site. I’ve deleted the plugin via FTP and reinstalled but get the same error.

I’ve had to remove the plugin so the site could function.

    Hi Mel –
It looks like that was caused by a line in my plugin not being PHP 5.2.x compatible. I’ve just issued an update this morning (v2.0.1) that will fix this issue, but I would definitely recommend trying to have your web host upgrade your version of PHP. WordPress recommends PHP 7 or later – WordPress Requirements

    Thanks!

    That did the trick. Thanks.
