Help please; I was updating plugins and the first couple updated okay; then I got the message on a blank page
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /hermes/waloraweb094/b731/moo.cosmafrancecom/wp-content/plugins/backupwordpress/classes/class-hmbkp-path.php on line 74
The website is down, this is all I get when I try to view.
What to do please? I have limited understanding and skills, it’s a home-made website for holiday accommodation https://www.cosmafrance.com

  • hi Sheila333,

Can you copy the entire code of class-hmbkp-path.php and paste the code in pastebin (https://pastebin.com/) and then post the link to the code here so i can check it out.

    Kind regards,

    Larsen

Hi Larsen, thanks for replying, I really appreciate it, however the problem has just been fixed by Fatcow hosting, their excellent Support sorted it via Livechat. They removed the plugin causing the problem which ironically was Backupwordpress which was what I was planning to do next. Think I’ll be looking for a different way to back up.
Thanks again and thanks for the link to Pastebin, useful tool!

    Great!
I’m glad to hear that the problem is solved.

    kind regards,

    Larsen
