parse error, couldn't activate plugin

  • Tried to install “Plugin Modification Date” but when I tried to activate, I got:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in .../blog/wp-content/plugins/plugin-modification-date/plugin-modification-date.php on line 68

    Here’s what I found in line 68:
    return $foldermtime ? : false;

    I ran the whole plugin code through a PHP syntax checker and it didn’t find any problem.
