Parse Error – Syntax Error

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home2/bananali/public_html/travel/wp-content/plugins/keyring/keyring.php on line 50

    Hi guys

    I get the above error when I try to Install the plugin Keyring.

    I’m running WordPress 4.2 running Love Travel theme.

    I have a feeling it is because the Keyring isn’t compatible with 4.2?

  • You (or your web host) needs to update your version of PHP. Keyring requires PHP v5.3+ (I recommend 5.4+).

    Most decent web hosts will allow you to run a more recent version, or will install it if you ask.

    Thanks for your advice. Much appreciated!

    I will ask my host to update. I don’t understand PHP and don’t really want to do it myself.
    I’m hosting with Hostmonster for that site.
