On my browser (Safari) my blog – qualityparingknives.com looked fine. However, I decided to check it out on Firefox and saw that my left and right side-bars had shifted down below my content. In an attempt to rectify that, the only thing I could think to go into my editor and paste in the files from my original WP folder one by one in an attempt to reinstate the original template. Everything was going fine until I pasted in the functions.php file. When I hit the update button, it went to a page showing this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/content/65/4639165/html/qualityparingknives/wp-content/themes/keyword-sniper/functions.php on line 2

Now, I am unable to access the site. Obviously I don’t know what I’m doing and I fear that if I mess around with anything else I am going to wind up losing all of my content.

Any help would be really appreciated.

  • use an ftp client or your host’s file manager to upload a fresh functions.php from the keyword-sniper zip file on your computer
