Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'if' (T_IF)

  • I was receiving the following error for the CTA plugin: “Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_current_screen()”

    So I downloaded the most recent version from www.ads-software.com and uploaded via FTP. After which i received the following error for landing pages:

    “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘if’ (T_IF)”

    So I downloaded the latest version of landing pages via www.ads-software.com and uploaded via FTP.

    Now, neither plugins work, if I have either active my sites break wiht the lfollowing for either plugin:

    1) Landing Pages: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘do_action’ (T_STRING) in /home/newmind/public_html/wp-content/plugins/landing-pages/templates/default/config.php on line 1

    2) CTA: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘if’ (T_IF) in /home/newmind/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cta/classes/class.post-type.wp-call-to-action.php on line 1
