Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘{‘ in functions.php on line 647

  • So after the latest update I tried to change the template and got this message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘{‘ in /xxx/functions.php on line 647

    I tried new installation on a different server and also got the same error message…

    Any ideas?

  • have you tried to open up your functions.php file in a text editor and look at line 647 to see if there is an extra bracket “{” there?
