Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING

  • I messed up a line of code in my plugin editor and am now receiving this error message on my webpages whenever I try access my site. Any one ever experience this or have a fix?

  • If you can’t login, you’ll need to use ftp, or a file manager if your host offers one.

    Navigate to wp-content->plugins and delete the plugin to regain access to your site

    yes, my host does offer ftp, but not sure how to navigate to the location you mention to delete the plugin, I’m a newbie at this stuff. any further assistance is appreciated, thanks

    I use filezilla, works great

    Basically once you use ftp (or a file manager, some hosts have those you can log into and see your files)

    you log onto your host/server. You will see all your files/folder…. you go to the wp-content folder, then the plugins folder and delete the folder for the plugin you were editing
