Parse Error when trying to export to Excel.xlsx

    When I try to export my contact form DB to “Excel.xls” format, I get the following error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING or ‘(‘ in /home3/pace1880/public_html/pacificautism.org/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7-to-database-extension/ExportToExcel.php on line 27

    I have Contact Form DB version 2.10.4 installed.

    Can you help me correct this error and achieve the export?

    This is probably because you have an older version of PHP running on your server. The export needs PHP version 5.4 or later. WordPress recommends using version 5.6

    Hi Michael. Thanks for your prompt reply and suggestion. We upgraded to PHP 5.4.45 and the Excel export works fine.
