Parse error when updating on WordPress 4.7

    I just tried updating Relvannsi Premium to the latest version (1.14.7) via the WordPress admin and am seeing the following:

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /nfs/c06/h08/mnt/89621/domains/v2.joanie4jackie.com/html/wp-content/plugins/relevanssi-premium/lib/excerpts-highlights.php on line 531

    Any ideas what’s going on here?

    I’m using PHP 5.3.29 FastCGI.
