Parse error? – wp-includes/default-filters.php on line 81

    This is my first time using WordPress and everything has gone according to instruction but after clicking install now i get this message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/a2892617/public_html/wp-includes/default-filters.php on line 81

    I have tried searching for the file “wp-includes” but its not in my fileZilla and i also downloaded wordpress 3.9.1 again in case i missed placed it but still cant be found.

    Am I looking for the right thing or am i completely barking up the wrong tree if so please instruct me on how to fix this issue. cheers

  • Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the root wp-config.php file – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
